Billy Strings’ sophomore album, Home, is a groundbreaking effort that sent the musician’s career to new heights. The album topped Billboard’s Bluegrass and Heatseeker’s charts and won Strings his first Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. Home, which spawned the lead single, “Taking Water,”
was described by critics as “exemplifying Strings' talent and frenetic, creative energy.” In 2021, Strings dropped his latest album, Renewal, which features hit singles “Hide and Seeks” and “Red Daisy.” Strings performed “Red Daisy” to promote the album during a guest appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live! Meanwhile, at the 64th Grammy Awards, Strings demonstrated his incredible brand of progressive bluegrass music when he performed “Hide and Seek.”
Strings continued his winning streak the following year when he was named Artist of the Year at the Americana Music and Honors Awards. Moreover, his single, “Love and Regret,” from his latest effort, Renewal, received a nomination for Best American Roots Performance at the 65th Grammy Awards. The same year, “Red Daisy” won Song of the Year at the International Bluegrass Music Awards, while Renewal was nominated for Album of the Year.
