St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Peter Frampton's Let's Do It Again Tour is still rolling and now it comes to St Augustine Amphitheatre on Wednesday, October 29th. This is one of those nights when you might actually hope that it gets a little chillier in the theater. That way, you can cuddle up next to your partner, maybe out on the lawn or just any other part of the theater, and enjoy the night.
This man is a legend of the music industry, and he's the proud owner of some really hard-hitting songs that are going to put you in a romantic mood. That's why you're going to want to move date night to Wednesday as October winds down because you're likely not going to be able to find a performance that can deliver the type of feelings that Peter Frampton can. The legend Peter Frampton is "Doing It Again" with this live tour. He's essentially going to be on the road for an entire year if not more by the time it's all set and done. The man's doing this at 75, which would seem a lot "younger" these days, but he still deserves his flowers. There are a few performers here and there that are getting up there in age, and you can tell. They're still doing live shows, but it's not the same! It's amazing, for example, that Willie Nelson is still hitting the stage, but expecting an over-the-top performance in his 90s is unrealistic. Then there's Frampton and a few others who have seemingly gotten better with age, and we have a theory about that.
Peter Frampton doesn't need the autotune and overload on visuals that a lot of modern performers bring to the stage. He's just up there with his guitar singing soft rock classics like "Show Me the Way", "Baby, I Love Your Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do." He might have gotten better with age because he's mastered how to slow down the performance and lower the audience to really hang on every word. It's a romantic experience with Frampton and just like with anything love-related, it's best served with a little patience and a willingness to "stay" in the good moments a little longer. That's why when Frampton takes the stage, the audience still gets chills, and they're going at his pace with a smile on their faces the whole way through.
In the lawn, sharing a blanket with your partner seems like a good idea! If things are already going to get romantic, why not just add to the vibe, right? Now, even in St. Augustine, it could be a little chilly in October, hence the blanket, but it could also be a good idea to find a spot inside the theater. If you're sitting up close to the stage, you could almost feel like you're being personally serenated by Peter Frampton. That's a heck of an experience for sure!
You just never know when Peter Frampton's gonna call it quits. It could be one of the last times to catch him live. Click the "Buy Tickets" link soon.
