James Taylor & His All-Star Band are taking the stage at the St Augustine Amphitheatre on Tuesday, September 22nd. Here's to hoping that we get a bit of chiller night at this point in the year. It's hard to picture that's going to be the case, here in St. Augustine, but hey, we can dream. The reason why it would be fitting if it were a chillier night is that a lot of these JT songs are like a warm hug. You might be itching to be arm in arm with your partner as he plays all of these hits on stage. No one wants to be super sweaty in the name of being romantic!

Many people who haven't been around to see JT in a while might be surprised by just how "close" this performance is. What we mean by that is, you feel like he's singing to you, especially if you're in the front rows. He's up there singing about how sweet it is to be loved by you! When that happens, you're going to have your eyes glued to the stage, but it's also fair if you decide to look by your side and just take a moment to appreciate the person who's right there beside you. To say that we don't have performers like James Taylor on the current deck of musicians who are regularly making the rounds at these venues is an understatement. That's reason enough not miss this performance.
No need to learn new tracks because JT's just going to be on stage singing all of the hits. "Carolina on My Mind" and "Fire and Rain" can cut even deeper when it's just James Taylor up there with his guitar and some dim lighting. If you're looking for a performance that's going to help you ignite that romantic spark, this one's it! Even if you were not around in the 70s when a lot of these tracks first saw the light of day, you're going to appreciate the vibe this man brings to the stage.
This is one of those concerts where the idea of "choosing your seat equals selecting your experience" rings true. Here's what that looks like! If you're up near the stage, you're going to feel like you're at a private JT concert. That can make for an incredible night. As you move further back, though, you might realize the focal point of the experience might not be what's happening on stage. The music becomes the backdrop to an incredible night that you spend with the person who's sitting next to you. Both are worthwhile experiences without a doubt!
