Rising to fame in the late 70s, Styx came out with the monumental album The Grand Illusion. The 1977 effort spawned the mega hit, “Come Sail Away” followed by the equally successful, “Fooling Yourself.” The Grand Illusion made great strides in the Mainstream music world selling over three million copies, earning the band a triple platinum certification. Styx followed this incredible work with the 1978 gem, Pieces of Eight, which also earned triple platinum and spawned another set of masterful hits like “Blue Collar Man,” “Sing for the Day,” and “Renegade.”
