Straight No Chaser is a prolific A cappella group known for their exemplary harmonies and outstanding vocals. The group has been around since 1996. The members first got together as a vocal group from Indiana University. They pursued a professional music career and began touring across North America. Since their early days, Straight No Chaser has grown to become excellent recording artists and live performers. In 2006, a video of the group performing “The 12 Days of Christmas” went viral and garnered over 24 million views. This video caught the attention of major record labels and helped secure a record deal with Atlantic.
Two years after their viral Youtube video, Straight No Chaser finally released their debut holiday album, Holiday Spirits. The record contains all the Christmas staples, endearing listeners in the U.S. and around the globe. The effort, which peaked at number 46 on the Billboard 200, sold over 500,000 copies and attained gold certification.
In 2010, Straight No Chaser released their first non-holiday studio album, With a Twist. The album, which peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200, contains several contemporary music favorites like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Tainted Love,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” and more.
Last year, the group completed a monster holiday tour to promote their latest holiday album, Social Christmasing.
