Battles will be the special guests on 7th May at St Augustine Amphitheatre. If you are a Rush or Primus fan, it is a must-attend concert for you. Formed in 1984, Primus currently comprises of Les Claypool, Tim Alexander and Larry LaLonde. They debuted with their first album in 1989, Suck on This, followed by their first studio album next year, Frizzle Fry in 1990. However, the band gained widespread recognition and commercial success after their second studio album, Sailing the Seas of Cheese in 1991. It also featured one of their most iconic songs, “Jerry Was a Race Driver”. It received platinum certification within a decade after it was released by the RIAA and is still streamed and played worldwide. Their next two albums also received massive success and featured in the top ten on Billboard 200 while receiving a gold certification by the RIAA.
Some people term Primus as a strange music act, but in a good way. They have their distinct, irreverent, and quirky approach towards music, which millions of their fans enjoy. Their tackiness can be felt in the audience, and some fans love how they perform with a high-energy attitude. Primus is one of the most prominent rock acts in the country, and if you want to see them live, you will need to get your tickets ASAP before they are gone!
