Jack Johnson is back – he’s scarcely played since 2014, but that’s all set to change this year, with a massive North American tour in accompaniment of his upcoming brand new album, “All The Light Above It Too“. Prior to the news of the new album, he revealed the song “Fragments,” from the soundtrack of The Smog Of The Sea, a documentary on plastic pollution of the ocean – a subject close to the ex-surfer’s heart.
“Some of the plastic is from cruise ships dumping, some of it’s from fishing fleets, a lot of it is blown from land sources, or things are shipped to other countries that are not set up to recycle like we can,” Johnson explained, regarding the themes behind “Fragments”.
