Legendary British rocker Billy Idol will embark on a North American tour this spring! The celebrated singer-songwriter, responsible for hits “Rebel Yell,” “Without a Face,” “White Wedding,” and “Dancing with Myself,” will hit 15 cities across the United States! On Tuesday, 25th April 2023, Billy Idol is set to perform at a highly-anticipated show at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in Florida! Idol will be backed by songwriting partner, lead guitarist Steve Stevens, and his longtime band! If you’re a Billy Idol fan, this show in St. Augustine should definitely be on your bucket list!
Last year, Billy Idol dropped his latest EP, The Cage. The critically-acclaimed effort was released along with its title track. The EP follows The Roadside, a four-track EP that serves as Idol’s first release in seven years. Steve Stevens helped idol write and produce all tracks with contributions from fellow songwriting partners Sam Hollander, Grant Michaels, and more.
Idol rose to prominence during the ‘80s. His self-titled debut album was a commercial success, peaking at number 45 on the Billboard 200 earned platinum status in the U.S. The album spawned several hit singles, including the number 23 Billboard Hot 100 song “Hot in the city” and the number 3 Mainstream Rock hit “White Wedding.”
After his phenomenal debut, Idol released several more acclaimed hit albums that earned multi-platinum certifications in various countries. Some of Idol’s hits like “Rebel Yell” and “White Wedding” were re-released in 1985, once again entering the chart in the U.K. and landing on the number 6 spot.
