St. Augustine Amphitheatre
Toto comes to St Augustine Amphitheatre on Monday, March 2nd. It could be hard to convince your friends to come out on a Monday, butttt if you let them know that you gotta bless the rains down in Africa, you could end up having an entirely different conversation. Toto are icons of rock, and they've amassed a library of hits that are incredible sing-alongs. They have some tracks that everybody claims to know, but let's be real, what are they actually singing in Rossana before the chorus?
No worries, it's not like you need to know the answer to that question before making your way to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Monday, March 2nd. There are certain concerts where, when you're deciding if you want to go, you start kind of listing off the songs from the main event that you actually know. Sometimes it's like 2 or 3 songs and that's enough to convience you to come out. That number, of course, applies to folks who are avid fans of the live event scene! Then you've got legends like Toto. If you were to repeat that exercise with these multiple-time Grammy winners, you'd be having a much longer conversation, that's for sure. It's rare these days to have a band that can bring so many people together, but that happens when you sing as many anthems as these guys do.
In the last few years, Toto have been on the road with other bands or as part of festivals. What's constantly happened is that they do a hurry-up set with some of their most popular songs back to back to back. If you blink, you end up missing your favorite track, and 20 minutes go by, and they're off the stage! They might be gravitating toward some of these performances to avoid having to carry a full hour, hour and a half set! However, that's going to change on March 2nd. That is reason enough to make sure that you don't miss this performance because you just don't know if you're ever going to get a chance to see a true full set live from these guys again!
The pit next to the stage gives you the true "rock concert" experience. There's really no way to run from that idea. Then again, maybe you're at a point where you'd rather have a full view of the stage, a clear path to where they sell food and drinks, and more breathing room overall. If that's you, then pretty much any spot inside the St Augustine Amphitheatre is going to be just fine.
