Back with his highest-charting album yet, PARKER MCCOLLUM is all set to march right onto The AMP — at St. Augustine Amphitheatre as he performs a charming set of hits & new music right under the stars. With special guests Max McNown and Laci Kaye Booth joining in as support, this tour’s set to be one of the year’s best country music extravaganzas. Following a fierce era with “Burn It Down” off of his Never Enough LP, the man is switching things up in his self-titled record as he bring back his signature blend of piano & guitar wonders.
Described by Country Central as a “collection of songs as a true reflection of who Parker McCollum really is,” the whole record is a reminder of how great of a songwriter this man is — the very reason people are so drawn to his emotive tracks that hit right home. The new record finds him returning to his signature sound heard in “The Limestone Kid,” something that many fans have clamored for. While it serves some bits of the past, the artist still has his foot forward.
“Much of the self-titled album carries the same free-spirited, youthful energy, but there’s so much growth and experimentation,” Joel Reuben Poley of Country Central wrote in a review. It’s an album that shares his dedication to creating something honest and close to his heart. As the Texas-born singer becomes a symbol of authenticity in modern country bangers, every single release he’s got shares personal tales that’s relatable, heartfelt, and vulnerable. Often writing themes relating to love, regret, and identity, he’s struck millions of hearts around the world with irresistible country bangers — music that can make you shed a tear or get up with anthemic beats.
In a conversation with The Travel Addict, McCollum shared his anticipation towards his new music at the time. Looking back at the early days of The Limestone Kid, the young lad’s talent was met with massive acclaim. From then on, he kept the ball rolling — developing his artistry, experimenting, and making music that stayed true to his heart.
“We’ve had some shows that have really made me think that there’s more to be had for my career. I think that’s the biggest highlight is I’ve realized that we really have built something from the ground up that I really am proud of.”
Coming over to Florida, McCollum has a huge night lined up at St. Augustine Amphitheatre on March 28th. Right under the stars, it’s the perfect vibe to his emotive country masterpieces. The open-air concert venue is the top choice for the hottest shows in town, being the perfect spot for fans to gather around, sing, and celebrate great music.
